2010 Contini Karmis Bianco Tharros
Our Price: $16.99
Producer: Contini Vintage: 2010 Region: Sardegna Varietal: Vermentino, Vernaccia, and other native grapes
The name Karmis means "vine" and from ancient times this appellative was used to identify one of the most select wine producing areas of the Tirso river Valley, an area between Cabras and Baratili. The Contini Wine Company has chosen this name to indicate one of its most representative wines. Karmis is obtained from the vinification of Vernaccia and Vermentino grapes, selected with exceptional care by the producer and coming from adult, shrub-types vines, which produce between 30 and 40 quintals per hectare. This wine is specially suited to accompany dishes of fish, either grilled or with sauces, and white meats.

2010 Giralamo Dorigo Pinot Grigio
Our Price: $16.99
Producer: Dorigo Vintage: 2010 Region: Friuli-Venezia Giula Sub-Region: Colli Orientali del Friuli DOC Varietal: Pinot Grigio Color: White
Pinot Grigio is no doubt an international variety but it has found an ideal home in Friuli. In few other regions of the world does Pinot Grigio manage to combine so perfectly freshness, body and breadth of aromas.
To preserve the richness of those aromas, Dorigo ferments the must in stainless steel at controlled temperatures, leaving the wine in contact with the fine lees for several months. In this way, it acquires mineral notes and a distinctive, terroir-driven personality. Malolactic fermentation has not been carried out.
This Pinot Grigio has elements of tropical fruit structured with great acidity and a medium body. It is a truly food-flexible wine that will pair well with light appetizers and full-bodied fish first courses.
