Made of 100% Glera, this fabulous white wine comes from the hills between Conegliano and Valdobbiadene. After hand harvest, cold maceration of the crushed grapes for a few hours let the winemaker extract the aromatic substances and the structure. When you pour this lovely wine, you notice a light evanescent perlage spreading in the glass. This delicate liveliness, which quickly burns away, is caused by the late fermentation of the last residual sugar that lasts for the whole winter period because of the cold weather. It is a typical characteristic of still Prosecco, which gives to the wine freshness, a pleasant appearance and protection from oxidation. 2016 Sanfeletto Bosco di
Fratta Prosecco is made from 100% Prosecco (Glera), which comes from a careful
selection of grapes grown in the hills of Conegliano Valdobbiadene DOCG, in
Eastern Veneto. After hand harvesting, the grapes are fermented with selected
yeasts for 60 days at controlled temperatures (14 ° C) in
pressure thanks (Charmat Method). A second long fermentation is induced, which
breaks down almost completely the sugars present in the wine, enabling the
producer to create a uniquely dry and more refined Prosecco Brut, which clearly
stands above the mass produced competition.
This phenomenal prosecco has a light straw yellow color with reflections of
green, and an abundant froth
with very fine, evanescent and persistent bubbles. The nose is pleasant with reminiscent of the wisteria and acacia flowers. The palate is rich, fruity and creamy with soft
persistent bubbles, flavors of green apples and citrus, balanced by an uncommon
brisk acidity and a lingering finish. Characterised by essential elegance and delicate
finesse, this Prosecco is an ideal aperitif, but it will also pair well with
light soups, white meat dishes, boiled white fishes, and desserts. -->
