For five generations and nearly one hundred years, the Zannoni family has worked the land at La Fortuna. Today Gilberto their grandson has taken the reins at the winery's helm. With the recent purchase of the land in Castelnuovo dell'Abate, the company's present property (33 hectares) is divided into 11 hectares of specialized vineyard, 2 hectares of olive groves. The cellar complex has been completely renovated; allowing the wine-making premises to be highly innovative, with thermoregulated steel tanks, and a stable, temperature-controlled maturing cellar, which contains 30-50 hectolitre oak casks. The average production is 30,000 bottles of Brunello di Montalcino D.O.C.G., 20,000 of Rosso di Montalcino D.O.C.
