Located at the foot of Monte Rosa lies Castello di Castellengo, a stunning castle with a long history in winemaking, which dates back to the 17th century. The rich composition of the sandy and clay soils of its vineyards gives its wines a unique mineral complexity and longevity. Made of 100% Nebbiolo, the grapes of this terrific wine are sourced from three separate vineyard sites in Montalciata, giving the wine a complex flavor.

The color is an intense ruby red, and the bouquet is elegant and refined, with aromas of fig, plum, cassis, sweet spices, leather, and a light note of licorice. Medium-bodied, with harmonious tannins and good sapidity, this amazing expression of Nebbiolo pairs beautifully with medium-aged cheese, fatty-fish, cured meats, or red-sauce pasta.
