The winery was founded in Terralba in Sardinia; a town rich in history,
culture and winemaking traditions that preserves the viticultural heritage handed down over the generations. The wines produced at Cantina del Bovale focus on the indigenous
Sardinian grapevines such as Bovale, Cannonau, Monica and Vermentino. The goal of the winery is to preserve part of the wine-making heritage already existing locally, producing primarily wines from the native Bovale grape. It is considered very important to preserve old vineyards of own-rooted vines, which are still able to produce excellent grapes and wines.
