The winery was founded in Terralba in Sardinia; a town rich in history,
culture and winemaking traditions which preserves the viticultural
heritage handed down over the generations. The wines produced at Cantina del Bovale focus on the indigenous
Sardinian grape vines such as Cannonau, Monica and Vermentino. The goal of the winery is to preserve part of the
wine-making heritage already existing locally, producing primarily wines from the native Bovale grape. To this end it is considered very important to preserve old vineyards ofown-rooted vines, which are still able to produce excellent grapes.
Apart from the Bovale the other important Sardinian varietas of
Cannonau, Monica and Vermentino are grown and produced.
