For centuries, according to the traditions and culture of the hills of Valdobbiadene, there has always been the extra canonical rite of being “Baptized with Prosecco wine”. After the baptism in the church, the godfather of the baby or the grandfather carried the child to the tavern to wet his lips with a dash of Prosecco to “initiate” his or her authentic passion for wine. From this tradition the name of the Prosecco “Batiso” (Baptized) was born as the symbol of a true passion for their land and its unique, inimitable and genuine fruits.
