The
2017 Etna Rosso Barrus from
Azienda
Agricola Contino is obtained
from the vinification of
the best grapes of NERELLO
MASCALESE 90%, NERELLO CAPPUCCIO 10% whose fermentation takes place in steel
for about 15 days, after racking it passes into French oak barrels for a 12
months aging. The vineyard is In the municipality of Trecastagni at
the foot of Mount Gorna in
the Etna area in Sicily. The character of soil type is of volcanic origin, mainly
sandy and rich in organic mineral. The color is ruby red, the nose has notes of
berries, cherry, spicy notes, the taste is fresh, savory, and persistent tannin.
Serving suggestions:
It lends itself well to first and second courses based on even elaborate meats
and aged cheeses.
