When one thinks of Verdicchio the first place that comes to mind is Marche: the grape has been documented in the region since the 14th century. It is said that Verdicchio was given to the troops of Visigoths for strength in battle, and you can understand why after tasting the grape at its full potential. Made of 100% Verdicchio di Matelica from biological vineyards, only a few thousand bottles of Vigneti B are produced each year. Vinified with the complex hyperoxygenation technique, in the complete absence of sulfur dioxide. With a medium gold color, this Verdicchio is complex in both nose and taste. The nose has unusual floral and fruity aromas, with hints of citrus and spices. Smooth but structured, the palate is strange and round, with juicy flavors of tropical fruit, balanced with brisk acidity and great minerality. Amazingly pleasant and luscious, it is persistent with a round and nice finish. Excellent when served as a distinguished aperitif, or with hot appetizers, structured main courses, or elaborate fish receipts.
