“Ella”, is a diminutive of Luisella Benedetti, the third generation of women to run this estate of La Ghidina on the shore of the Lake Garda in Lombardia.
Made of 100% Turbiana grown in lime, clay and limestone soils, the vines are trained on a vertical trellis system with replacement cane pruning. Ella is a fresh, pleasurably fruity, bright, and friendly wine, with a pale straw-yellow color with the greenish tinges typical of Lugana wine. It has attractive aromas of yellow fruit, grapefruit, mature apricot, tropical fruit, and ripe
citrus. The round, juicy palate offers ripe yellow peach, poached pear, and juicy tangerine alongside fresh acidity. Crisp, refreshing and balanced, with a hint of minerality, it is extremely well-balanced in the ratio between sugar residues and acidity, and has a lingering full-flavored finish. Pair it with crustaceans, fish-based main dishes, and vegetarian dishes.
