Description

This Fabulous wine is made of 100 % Petit Grain white Muscat From Chambve in Valle D'Aosta in Guyot style.

A bright straw yellow white wine, with fresh dry and consistent full body. The aromas are intense and persistent, floral and fruity with notes of acacia, thyme, sage, violet, yellow peach, sweet almond. The palate is softly full and round, ending with a persistent sweet and bitter almond with a honey finish.

Vinification In steel, with cold pre-fermentative skin macerations. Aging for 8 months in steel, keeping the wine on the fine fermentation lees with frequent "batonnages". 4 months aging in bottle
Drink as an aperitif, or with white meats, Tuna and Qinua, medium-aged cheeses, sweet cheeses like fontina from Valle D'Aosta.

This is a perfect wine for this time of the year. Amazing minerality and just the right amount of crisp fruits. Light, crisp, and very refreshing!

Tried this last night from my recent EnotecaVinoNostro order:
1. LaVrille Chambave Muscat d'DOC: Vallee d'Aosta (13.5%; www.LaVrille.It; ToscoImports) Herve DeGuillame/Verrayes/It 2016: Med.dark gold color; very intense floral/Muscat/cheap hair oil/orangey slight earthy beautiful nose; quite tart/tangy rather rich/lush slight earthy rather intense muscatty/floral/cheap hair oil near dry (.5% r.s.?) beautiful muscat flavor; very long/lingering rather tart/tangy slight earthy floral/alpine flowers/muscatty near dry rich/lush finish; loads of intense muscatty fruit but fairly near dry; some like an Alsatian Muscat but not the bitterness; a really lovely/beautiful expression MuscatBianco. $28.00 (EVN)

A wee BloodyPulpit:
1. Muscat Chambave is usually made as a sweet wine or a air-dried version (Fletri). This version is near-dry with only a trace of r.s.
