Avi is the premier Sangiovese offering from San Patrignano. They select half of their best Sangiovese vines, which are trained in the Guyot method with further selection on the sorting table, to produce the best expression of Sangiovese in the Area. Fermentation in stainless steel at a controlled temperature, with Periodical racking and long maceration on the skin.
Ages 18 months in traditional 30-hectolitre Slavonian oak barrels and afterward one year in the bottle.
has a garnet red color, the bouquet is broad and features hints of violet, plum, and cherry. It is elegant with structure and velvety tannins Sangiovese typical of the terroir. The pleasant sapidity leaves a
long finish with inviting hints of fruits of the forest, leather, and licorice.
