The 2015 Brunello is in one word, austere. On the nose, rich black fruits and spices dominate with floral undertones and hints of caramel. On the palate, it hints of rich dark cherries, tart raspberries, with slight baking spices, balanced by soft yet firm tannins. Filling of the oak casks entirely by gravity flow. Maceration with submerged cap for 5 weeks Aging In French oak casks for 30 months, Refining in bottle for a minimum of 12 months. The 2015 vintage is exceptional. It pairs exceptionally well with most meat-based dishes including lamb, venison, veal, beef, salumi, bolognese, ragus as well as a perfect addition to any collection. 95 Points James Suckling. Wine Enthusiast 91 points.
