2015 Blauburgunder DOC Muri Gries is made with 100% Pinot Nero grape (Blauburgunder in German) grown in the South Tyrol DOC in Alto Adige, Northern Italy.
In the glass it is a shiny ruby color. The nose it is fruity with crisp ripe cherries, blackcurrants, blackberries and raspberries, roses and a hint of tarragon. The palate is soft yet complex with beautiful flavors of wild berries, ripe cherries, hints of violets and spices along with soft tannins and good acidity.
Pair it with Braised Beef, Lamb and Pork Chops, Fish, Salumi and Ripe Cheeses.
