Amantis is focused on the production of extremely delicious, high-quality, and highly-awarded Sangiovese and Sangiovese-based wines that balance the charm of Tuscan tradition with some modern influences. The 2015 Brunello is in one word, austere. On the nose, rich black fruits and spices dominate with floral undertones and hints of caramel. On the palate, it hints of rich dark cherries, tart raspberries, with slight baking spices balanced by soft yet firm tannins. Vinification In oak casks of 30 hl to optimize parcellar selection. Filling of the oak casks entirely by gravity flow. Maceration with submerged cap for 5 weeks. Aging In French oak casks for 30 months, Refining in bottle for a minimum of 12 months. The 2015 vintage is exceptional. It pairs well exceptionally well with most meat-based dishes including lamb, venison, veal, beef, salumi, bolognese, ragus as well as a perfect addition to any collection. 95 Points James Suckling.
