Made from Sangiovese and Colorino grapes that ripen slowly due to the quite high location of the vineyards; 30% of the maturation occurs in barrels for 8 months and the remaining in steel.The wine has a ruby red color and the nose has notes and aromas of bright cherry fruit and baking spices, the palate is well balanced with ripe cherry, hints of oak and spices balanced by brisk acidity and supple tannins.
Enjoy this wine with with a nice ragu, a hearty pasta, roast meat or game, and strong, mature cheeses.

I don't usually buy Chianti, so this was a pleasant surprise, lush cherry aromas, bright acidity and mellow tannins, I enjoyed it with some salami and cheese
