wine takes its name from the vineyard of Manuela Piancastelli in
Beneficiary of the Castle in Campagnia, facing Mount Taburno in cazerta.
This thick, extracted wine is made from 70% Pallagrello and 30% Casaveccia grapes,
a portion which was over ripened on vine.this wine is aged for 12 months in new French oak barrels and 18 months in bottle.
Piancastelli opens with opulent
aromas of chocolate, exotic spice, dark fruit, and cinnamon. It is a
very sophisticated wine, in the mouth is soft and enveloping, very
persistent and aromatic spicy notes that has a long lasting finish.
Every vintage the label is painted by a different artist. 2013 label is created by Mojmir U.Ježek, Which makes this fabulous wine even more interesting!
Pair with light meat dishes ,or have it with substantial appetizer!
