Description

The products entitled "I Mille Per" signed by the winery La Guardiense, are the result of an interesting project carried out by this renowned production reality in Campania. In some vineyards owned by the winery, it was decided to impose a very strict experimental production protocol, which aims to investigate the possibilities of long aging for some of the most representative regional native vines. In this case, the Aglianico is the fruit of this journey, this red which presents itself with an incisive and austere sip, which tells a strong personality also on the nose, dominated by at first fruity and then spicy notes. The must ferments in stainless steel, macerating on the skins for 22 days with daily pumping, while the malolactic fermentation takes place in barrique. The subsequent refinement phase lasts 14 months and takes place in Allier and Tronçais barriques. An intense and persistent Sannio DOC, which demonstrates the foresight of the project undertaken by La Guardiense. This outstanding wine is made with 100% Aglianico Made in Sannio Beneventano in Campania.
This unique project of its kind, called "The Thousand for Aglianico", with clear reference to the approximately one thousand members of "La Guardiense" who with passion and commitment have always ventured with challenging choices aimed at improving production processes both in the vineyard and in the cellar, he was awarded the prestigious Oscar for best innovation in wine 2013.

The wine has a deep almost impenetrable red color. The spicy perfume is reminiscent of small red fruit. powerful and intense, with a silky though strong tannic structure that enhances a very persistent finish.
Perfect with second courses of red meat and game, both feather and fur. It gives the best of itself with a wild boar stew.
