Description

This fabulous red come from Castello di Castellengo, a village at the foot of Monte Rosa, in the Alpine chain of northern Piemonte. Centovigne is a modern winery with historic roots, where the wines are produced as they were in the 17th century. The DOC Coste della Sesia presents unique climatic characteristics, positively affected by the presence of the Monte Rosa behind and the Po Valley laid out below.
Made of 70% Nebbiolo, 20%
Croatina, and 10% Uva Rara from three different vineyards in Mottalciata, the sandy and clay soils of this area give this amazing wine particular mineral complexity and longevity.

The nose is ripe with dark berry fruits and a hint of balsamic.
On the palate, it has flavor of plum and cassis, and it is balanced by soft ripe tannins and brisk acidity.
Perfect with medium-aged cheese, salami, and pasta.
