Description Technical Specs (May be in Italian If There Is Not an English Version Available)

Made of 80% Nebbiolo and 20% Vespolinagrown in the North of Piedmont, Boca is an original expression of Nebbiolo. They are in Cavallirio, near Gattinaraand Ghemme, in a hilly area dominated by the view of Monte Rosa. In 1946, Mario Barbaglia, first on a bike, then with a small truck, took his wines door to door from Cavallirioto Valsesia, and then to the outskirts of Milan, eager to promote his homeland. This is Boca, the essence of Sergio Barbagliaand his daughter Silvia.

This Boca was grown on soils rich in minerals, where the porphyry rose dominate, giving the palate a distinct flavor and freshness and ensuring longevity. Its personality is overflowing and strong: Boca will delight you with its generosity, its freshness, and its unforgettable density and finesse, which only gets better over years. Opening up slowly. With a determined and noble heart, Boca has an austere, robust, and balanced palate. Enjoy this full-bodied wine with aged cheese, grilled red meats, wild game, or a plate of salumi.Combining finesse and structure, this impressive wine opens with fantastic scents of new leather, woodland berry, baking spice and balsamic notes, the enticing palate doles out juicy black cherry, raspberry and white pepper framed in firm refined tannins. An energizing mineral note carries the lingering finish. Despite the warm vintage, it still boasts freshness. Drink through 2026.

One of the best bottles of Nebbiolo based wines I have ever had, light radiant ruby red colored, a complex palate layered with ripe black cherries, pomegranate, silky smooth tannins and bright acidity
