The Arca is made from 100% Aglianico del Vulture D.O.C. grapes and is aged for 12 months in new French oak barrels. It is a beautifully structured wine, produced by the Giannattasio family in the region of Basilicata for generations, and it has obtained many favorable appraisals from all the most illustrious tasters. The winery of Arcangelo Giannattasio is amongst the best in the area. Arca 2004 has a beautiful dark ruby red color, an intense nose composed of dark fruits, tobacco an spice, and on the palate it is deep, complex, mellow, and persistent. Ideal Pairings: Roasted Meats and Sharp Aged Cheeses.
