Made from 100% Sangiovese. The Rosso after being harvested in mid September is then fermented for eight days by thermo-conditioning and unleavening fermenting with 18 days contact with the skins. Aged for six months in Slavonian oak then another six months in French barriques, and lastly three months bottle aging before being released to market. In the glass it is a deep ruby red. The nose is lush with aromas of cassis, ripe berry fruit and some cocoa notes. The palate is full of ripe cherry and plum fruit, spices and hints of oak, with chewy tannins and bright acidity.
Pairs well with Pizza, Meat Sauce Pasta, Salumi and Aged Cheeses.
