Located at the
foot of Monte Rosa lies Castello di Castellengo, a stunning
castle with a rich history in winemaking that dates back to the 17th century.
The sandy/clay soils found in the vineyards have a rich composition that gives
their wines a unique mineral complexity and longevity. The grapes found in this
wine are sourced from three separate vineyard sites in Monttalciata: Drumma, Santa Maria
and Alpine giving the wine a complex flavor. With figs, plum and cassis aromas
accompanied by a medium body palate this wine pairs beautifully with medium
aged cheese, fatty-fish, cured meats or red-sauce pasta.
